On 27th May 2025, in a lecture titled, ‘The Sociologist and Poet: It Takes Two to Tango’ at the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS), Sasanka Perera discussed the need to combine creative expressions varying from fiction to poetry with social research, academic writing and pedagogy. The lecture and discussion were co-organized by Colombo Institute and BCIS.
